The Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac is part of the Network of Natural Spaces protected by the Diputació de Barcelona. Its main peaks are Montcau (1052 m) and La Mola (1104 m), where the Monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt, which gives its name to the massif, is located. Traditional festival, Sant Sebastià

Festes de Sant Sebastià is a traditional ten-day celebration that has graced the Vallès municipality for 113 years. The first Festes de Sant Sebastià took place in 1900, with nature and the forest as the central theme, and more than a century later some of the oldest traditions are still preserved. Even now after all these years of history, the Festes de Sant Sebastià has become a very popular event among the locals of Matadepera. One of the most traditional events of the festival is the descent of a pine tree from the forest, its subsequent planting in the Plaça Cal Baldiró and finally the tree-climbing competition.
